Wish

If I had one wish

Just for being good

I would never wish

For what other people would

Some would wish to be different

Or just to stay the same

Some would wish for riches

And most would wish for fame

Some would wish for happiness

Or to cross the seven seas

A few would wish for peace and hope

But my wish is none of these

I wouldn't wish for the world

Or the ability to fly

I'd never wish for stardom

Or that I'd never die

Since you are not here with me

I tell you this is true

You are my perfect miracle

And I would wish for you
