Missing You
by: R. A. Cvetich
Stronger than it’s ever been
This need for you has grown
It’s more than just a faint desire
More than I’ve ever known
These hectic busy lives of ours
Are keeping us apart
And with this new deep longing
It is shattering my heart
When you are not here with me
I don’t know where to go
When all my heart is crying out:
Hold me and don’t let go
When all my world is caving in
And all I ask is why
I want to run into your arms
Where you can hear me cry
For I know you can comfort me
Like no one else here can
Only you can dry my tears
If you just touch my hand
And lately I’ve been missing that
For it’s been quite a while
Since I felt your gentle touch
And witnessed your warm smile
And since you are not here with me
You’re far and out of sight
I’ll lie down and close my eyes
And dream of you tonight
For then I can be close to you
And I can be myself
No one knows that I am here
Missing you like nothing else
