It was the story of our lives

We had everything planned:

A path stretching to forever

That we’d walk hand in hand

That was how our lives would go

It was the perfect storyline:

Two hearts bound by love alone

Until the end of time

But then everything changed

When our pages were torn away…

So many chapters were spent together

We thought they would go on forever

That the page numbers would grow and grow

But we never did know then:

Our tale would have a tragic end

I never guessed I’d have to let Prince Charming go

Happily ever after said goodbye

So ends the story of our lives

It was the story of our lives

It was a story of our love

It wasn’t picture perfect

But it was more than enough

You were my knight in shining armor

It was a fairytale come true

And I was ready to write

The rest of my story with you

But I lost my place

And our happy ending was erased…
