"World That Counts By Twos"

June 21, 2007

World That Counts

By Twos

By: R. A. Cvetich

The stars cry for me as I walk down the shore
My heart sinks along with my feet into the sand
Where I walk now with none beside me
Is where I once walked holding your hand
No one spares a passing glance
At the one who walks alone
I am but a wave
Crashing on my own

CHORUS
Two decisions lay before me
I’m forced into complying
Live without you
Or die trying
With nothing to gain
And everything to lose
It is here I walk alone
In a world that counts by twos

Tears are raining down from cold blue eyes
Creating an ocean my façade drowns in
It makes no difference what the future holds
I’ll never kiss the lips of my true love again
I am a wave suffocated
Pinned to the ocean floor
A wave of helpless teardrops
That will never reach the shore

Repeat CHORUS

Bridge
My heart was cast into the waves
And tossed endlessly by fate
A heart with love held undercover
Destined never to beat with another

Repeat CHORUS
